Part of what makes this work so exciting is being able to attract
and enhance the life force within the world of your yard, land,
or home. In the picture below, a goldfinch hangs upside down on
a feeder while a downy woodpecker nibbles away on the scaly bark
of the riverbirch pole. First of all, I had never seen a goldfinch
in my life until I put up the feeder, and the woodpecker showed
itself off in the plain view of the pole. Both birds were beautiful,
especially the brightly colored goldfinch.Without the feeder, neither
bird would have visited this yard.
This microscopic vignette of our living world illustrates the imperative
of recreating, replenishing, and restoring landscapes across the
country. So much of nature has been so vastly altered and abused
that it can only partially regenerate itself, if even given the
chance. Meanwhile, millions of acres of land are trapped in a twilight
zone of turfgrass, biologically sterile, chemical intensive, and
spiritually bland.
Let the Kettler Design Studio redesign and recreate your landscapes
to add color, movement, and life to your world.
