The Earth is our Garden of Eden, and should be treated as such. Instead, this divine creation is abused and neglected out of greed, ignorance, insensitivity, and lack of long-range planning. Apalled by the widespread desolation of landscapes everywhere, the Kettler Design Studio is on a mission to protect and restore the plant and animal diversity that make up the living fabric of our world.

At the smallest scale, this begins with the design of ecological gardens for residential, commercial, and rural properties. In contrast to the mainstream of landscape designers, the Kettler Design Studio uses mostly native American plants in its gardens. The effect is not only beautiful but ecologically appropriate little or no watering is required, pesticide application is greatly reduced or eliminated altogether, and small animals such as birds and insects are able to feed on the seeds and nectar of these hardy plants.

On a larger scale, the Kettler Design Studio can do ecological site planning and comprehensive ecosystem management plans. These integrated approaches address important systems of the environment such as water, energy, materials, and biodiversity.
