A series of waterslides, chutes, pools, and boulders in Meadow Run create the setting for a natural waterpark that is refreshing and fun on a hot summer day. Within a short distance, Meadow Run creates a series of microhabitats ranging from calm pools like the one at right to the high-velocity chutes upstream (far right) that create a place for dare-devil action. Depending on the weather, water levels can fluctuate wildly, making for highly varying swimming conditions in this waterway just a short walk from downtown Ohiopyle. The racing torrent being enjoyed by the brave young man slows to a peaceful rivulet during a dry spell, and is easily enjoyed by children, families, and those with a lesser zest for the extreme.

The rocks are slippery and glass could show up unexpectedly, so wear good water shoes, prepare to be your own lifeguard (there are none on duty here), and have fun in this natural alternative to a cement pond.
