Hidden Valley recently acquired an 80-acre site that
used to be a functioning trout farm until about 20 years ago. Set
in a low fertile valley, it is a veritable water world criss-crossed
by ponds, springs, streams, and an elaborate series of trout raceways,
concrete canals where the fish were once raised and grown to a large
size.In order to attract people to the resort in the summer, I developed
a master plan to create a public water garden here that would specialize
in the cultivation of native shrubs, trees, ferns, grasses, and wildflowers
that have a special affinity for moisture and water.
